I've been craving seafood like crazy these last few days and I had to get some crab legs! This is my second time at Quarterdeck and I was hoping that it wouldn't disappoint.

Me and a friend arrived at 6pm on a Saturday. The last time I visited, i came on a whim and the wait wasnt too bad, so i wasn't overly concerned about this trip.

We waited to be seating in a line outside of the patio area. I was dissatisfied that no one welcomed us until about 15mins of standing. I will give it to the staff that it appeared really busy and since I was with a friend we just chatted since we weren't in a rush.

The biggest room for improvement would DEFINITELY be the reservation/seating system. It appears that reservations(no matter what the time) trump's a walk-in customer. Everyone was directed to the line whether you have a reservation or not, but then staff ask everyone in-line if anyone had a reservation, and anyone who did were fast passed through the line. For example, we had a couple join the line who had a 630 reservation(they were early for the reservation, but we had been there in line for 15mins before they showed up and they were seated before us). It seemed disorganized and could be off putting for customers. If you prefer reservations, maybe that should be stated.

The most important thing for me was that the craving for crab legs was satisfied, I chose green beans and fries and the fries were mushy, but everything else was great.

Quarterdeck it will be my go to local seafood spot. But I clearly will have to make reservations so that I can be acknowledged in a better manner upon arrival.

I love being in a city like this.  A busy and incredible restaurant just pops up in the middle of a neighborhood.  And, as I had heard, amazing crabs.  Well, I wasn't in the mood to pick around with crabs, so, I ordered the 4 oz crab cake.  The best crab cakes I have had outside of Maryland.  Drinks were cheap for the city too.  My Tito's in the rock was $8.

Popped by yesterday for Friday crabs. We ordered a dozen Large for $90 and they were big, heavy and perfectly cooked. I love August crabs. Every leg I pulled out had a hunk of meat attached - perfectly cooked!

I drank Heavy Seas Vienna and my lady had Scrimshaw Pils - fresh and tasty.

The service was awesome. Our server had too many tables and was running, but she kept our beers full. We have seen here there before and she works it.

The only negative was beers a $7 a pint. We left and had $4 HH pints at Rhodeside afterwards.

TLDR: Strong Cajun flavors that will satisfy any crab cravings you might be harboring.

I came in on a Saturday at 12:30 with a reservation. I was immediately amazed by the trays of crabs that were being lugged around.

Food: We ordered crab cakes as an appetizer + grilled mesquite shrimp, scallops, and a dozen Cajun crabs. Beware: when they first dump the crabs onto the table, you will have some doubts about whether you ordered too much. The crabs were succulent and juicy, although the amount of Cajun spice to crab distribution was very variable. There were one or two crabs that had almost no spice and a few that had too much. The scallops and shrimp were decent, although both lacked much distinctive flavor when eaten on their own.

Parking: there is an on site parking lot as well as available street parking

We grabbed a quick late dinner after work.

I had the Fish 'n Chips and my sons had crab.

The food was very good, but expensive.
    I guess it is Arlington...
